My journey with these modalities began early in life - my family practiced Shaivism and Buddhism, and I was raised pondering my place in the universe through meditation and yoga. While attending Brown University Medical School, I developed a tangible set of skills for connecting with and supporting people. My spiritual path continued to evolve in parallel through deepening in my daily practice, psychedelic experiences in South America, and attending extended silent retreats.
When COVID began, I was a full-time ER doctor in NYC, and I deeply witnessed and felt the profoundly damaging effect of the pandemic on myself, my co-workers, and the patients we served. As we faced burnout at unprecedented levels, I found it increasingly challenging to access the loving compassion that is at the core of my work. Seeking any way to support myself and my dear colleagues, I started facilitating small meditations with my residents, nurses, and staff, from which I felt and saw a transformative impact. With the help of the instruments and focused meditation techniques, people who had never meditated before found they could quiet their minds and drop into a mindful state with ease. I witnessed that, as stress melts away, people's inherent goodness is allowed to shine through - causing ripples of goodness in difficult environments.
As I have continued to share and facilitate meditative practices, I became exposed and began to practice new therapeutic models, the most impactful of which for me have been Internal Family Systems ("IFS"), shadow work based on the work of Carl Jung and Fritz Perls. Using these modern psychotherapeutic techniques, I have been able to help my clients immerse themselves in their own psyches and find the root of their actions and thoughts. This challenging and extremely powerful work has produced rapid and immense transformations in my own life and the lives of my clients.
My deep personal experience marrying these practices has allowed me to hone my facilitation and support, combining decades of spiritual practice and meditation with new forms of therapy to create a safe and held container for transformation for my clients. Within my facilitation, I aim to empower my clients to integrate these practices and models into their own lives, creating lasting and sustainable change independent from their work with me.
I have also been leveraging the use of psychedelics - especially Ketamine. Ketamine has deep effects on our brain chemistry and neuroplasticity. creating openings to deepen and amplify one's healing.
I’m so excited to bring safety and experience to the merging point between the worlds of spirituality, psychedelics, psychotherapy, and science. This work brings forth states of deep resonant connection to the multitudinal elements of the self- both internally and in groups, and I am honored to be an experienced and capable space holder for these methodologies.
